Reports are circulating in Europe that Abraham Asscher, 80-year-old president of the Amsterdam Jewish Community, and his two sons have been shot by the Nazis, according to a refugee who arrived here recently. He said some refugees reported having heard this announced on the German radio. Asscher was also president of the Netherlands Union of Ashkenazic Jewish Communities and head of the Alliance Israelite Universelle in Holland.
