The Warschauer Zeitung, Nazi organ in occupied Poland, reports in an article that 320,000 hours of labor were expended during “highways week” last May to repair 2,800 miles of destroyed roads in Radom.

The number of persons is not mentioned, although it is stated that 2.2 per cent of the civil population, including almost all able-bodied Jews, were rounded up for work during the week of May 6-11. Further “highway weeks”will be announced periodically until the highways have reached their pre-war condition, it is stated.
