The French newspaper Le Petit Journal in Clermont-Ferrand declared today that France lost the war because of “six lies” which were “greatly represented by Jewish and international agents present in France at the time,” according to a German wireless dispatch from Vichy.
The paper was quoted as listing these “lies” as follows: “(1) The Maginot Line affords sufficient protection, since the time of wars of movement. (2) Agreement between Soviet Russia and National Socialist Germany is impossible and not to be thought of . (3) The Berlin-Rome axis will break like a pice of straw. (4) England will be able to put up a big army quickly. (5) Reich is short of breath. It has no resources and is not prepared to launch an offensive. (6) Unmotivated confidence is always a good thing, and genius for improvisation is compensation for lack of organization.”
“These were lies of the old French press, greatly represented by Jewish and international agents present in France at the time, ” the paper was quoted. “She believed in words and not in facts. She is now confronted by one fact, however: her defeat and realization what atrocious lies have been passed on her. Only the future can show.
