Tangier Puts New Curb on Immigration

Tangier authorities have ruled that only citizens of the countries signatory to the Tangier International Zone Convention–Britain, France and Spain–will be permitted to enter the zone without depositing 5,000 Moroccan frances, it was reported here today. Persons of other nationality must provide the deposits.

Twenty-one German Jewish refugees arrived here today from Switzerland. The refugees, who have been granted United States visas, will leave for that country July 30 on the Greek steamer Nea Hellas.
