The American Jewish colony of Raanana appeals to all its members in the United States for urgent assistance, Baruch Ostrovsky, head of the local council, declared in a statement today.

Ostrovsky stressed that Raanana was the only Palestine Jewish settlement free of partisan affiliation. All local institutions are functioning smoothly, he said, and Raanana is allotting an average of L300 monthly for public works, instead of doles, besides a Summer camp and kitchens for the needy.

Raanana has supplied a large number of volunteers for the British cause and is giving support to their families, he added.
