On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Keren Hayesod (Palestine Foundation Fund), Director Leib Jaffa discussed its activities with the press today, stating that its net income had been L9,604,000. This included L7,817,000 in donations, of which L3,692,000 came from the United States.
The organization invested L9,340,000, of which L2,924,000 was for colonization, L1,699,000 for culture and education, L1,099,000 for immigration, L1,025,000 for public works, L859,000 for national organization and security, L736,000 for urban settlement, L375,000 for health and L360,000 for administration of the Jewish Agency.
