At a meeting of the Survey Committee of the American Jewish Committee, held last night at Temple Emanuel, it was announced that arrangements had been made with Richard C. Rothschild to serve the Committee on a professional basis.
Rothschild has been an active member of the Survey Committee for several years, during part of which time he has served as its chairman. He graduated from Yale University in 1916 and thereafter ws engaged in the field of advertising and public relations. In recent years he has been active in educational work, serving on the faculty of the New School for Social Research and as a director of Parents Magazine. He is a frequent contributor to journals of opinion and is the author of several books on philosophy.
In announcing Rothchild a appointment, the Committee said: “Because of the growing importance of our work, we felt the desirability of securing Mr. Rothschild’s servic on a full-time professional basis and are pleased to announce that Mr. Rothschild has consented to serve in this capacity.”
