It was announced in Vichy today that former Interior Minister Georges Mandel has been removed from office as may or of the town of Soulac near Bordeaux. The action probably would have been taken long ago except for an oversight. (Mandel faces trial at Riom on charges of plotting against the security of the State and speculating in francs.)
