Jewish Chronicle House, which was hit in a recent air raid, is among the buildings which will probably be dynamited because it is a heap of ruins with only the front wall standing.

Although the staff was working when the building was hit, no one was hurt, but valuable material was destroyed. The Chronicle is continuing publication from emergency premises. During the same week, I.M. Greenberg, editor of the Chronicle, was bombed out of his home in a London suburb.

Bernard Mendel, 14-year-old Air Raid Precautions messenger boy, was killed while removing valuable documents from a burning house during a recent raid in Manchester. He entered the building, brought out some material, entered again and failed to return.
