The first bomb to fall in Dublin in the German air raids on Ireland, over which the Eire Government protested to Berlin today, landed in the Jewish quarter in the southern part of the city, razed two blocks of houses and wrecked one of Dublin’s largest synagogues.

At least seven persons were injured by the high explosive bomb, which was dropped early yesterday morning.
