Gen. Nuri Pasha es-Said, Foreign Minister of the Iraq Government which was unseated by a coup headed by Rashid Ali Bey Gailani, has attributed the development to Axis agitation, in an interview with a New York Times Correspondent in Amman, Transjordan.

Iraq had broken off relations with Germany, but not with Italy and Gen. Nuri Pasha said he had no doubt the Italian Embassy in Baghdad sponsored Axis activities. He added that German propagandists exploited feelings among the Iraqi concerning Palestine to the utmost advantage.
