More than 5,000 refugees entered Palestine with the help of the United Palestine Appeal in the first four months of 1941, it was announced today by the United Jewish Appeal.
The survey of recent developments in Palestine, drawn up by the United Palestine Appeal, showed that despite the spread of the war to the Eastern Mediterranean, the rate of immigration into Palestine has increased over the war year of 1940 when 12,572 Jewish immigrants arrived in the Jewish homeland. There are still approximately 4,500 holders of immigration certificates in European lands who must be helped to find a haven in Palestine through the support of the United Jewish Appeal.
