An attempt to introduce anti-Semitic prejudice into the proceedings of a British court was charged today by a defense lawyer when Prosecutor Bromly tried to influence a police court against a grocery firm summoned for overcharging by stating that although the company had an English name, the man in back of it was of “the Jewish persuasion.”
The defense counsel expressed astonishment at this attack on the company and declared there seemed to be an attempt to prejudice the firm in the eyes of the court.
