Possessing evidence that divisive propaganda is being used by the Nazis to disrupt morale in the Selective Service Camps throughout the United States, the Council Against Intolerance has issued a hand book on national unity to be used by group leaders in the camps, by service organizations, and by recreation centers in communities near the camps.
The handbook, entitled “Calling All Americans”, seeks to prevent such divisive plottings within American ranks. It calls attention to the great contributions made by the diversified stocks coming from many national backgrounds who make up our training forces. It exposes propaganda techniques used by the Nazis in the United States and provides effective means to combat them. The handbook was prepared after consultation with heads of the Selective Service System, the Joint Army and Navy Committee on Welfare and Recreation and other governmental agencies.
