Despite the prevailing currency regulations, which prohibit the transfer of capital from Palestine to other countries, the Palestine government today permitted the sending of money by Palestine Jews to relatives in Iraq, victims of the recent pogrom in Bagdad who are in need of assistance.
A maximum of £100 yearly may be sent by individuals to such relatives, providing that local Jewish institutions certify to the need.
