Polish-Jewish circles in Palestine today started negotiations to secure adequate Jewish representation on consular missions which will shortly be sent by the Polish Government to Soviet Russia on the basis of the Russo-Polish agreement signed yesterday.
One of the main tasks of these missions, it was stated here today, will be to take care of the Polish civilians who will be released by the Soviet authorities from their places of banishment. The Polish diplomats will have to organize small-scale emigration from Russia for those Polish citizens who can find temporary refuge in other countries. They will also have to reunite families which were separated when the male members were exiled to the distant parts of Russia.
Reliable Polish sources here are certain that the Polish Consular Missions which will proceed to Russia will include on their staffs representatives of relief organizations who will volunteer to aid the Polish officials in the great task awaiting them upon reaching Moscow.
