Only Jewish and anti-Nazi refugees in Iran are being selected for expulsion by the Iranian Government in an attempt to convince the British and Russians that the Shah is willing to oust Nazi agents in Perisa, it was reported today in the London press.
Commenting on the probable rejection by the Russo-British allies of the new Iranian peace offer, the Daily Herald says that the assurances of the Iran Government cannot be taken seriously since the real Nazis are not being expelled. The “Germans” that are slated for expulsion, are “mostly unfortunate Jewish and anti-Nazi refugees who have been scratching out a living in Teheran,” the paper declares.
