Over three hundred German Jewish refugees whose United States immigration visas expired after July last when the new American immigration regulations went into effect have been admitted to Spain to appear before American Consuls there for renewal of their permits, it was disclosed here today.

The refugees are now in Barcelona where they are being examined by the American consular authorities in accordance with the new regulations. About twenty have already had their examinations completed and received their visas, enabling them to sail for the United States this week. Examination of the remaining cases is expected to be completed within a comparatively short time. The refugees are being maintained by the American Joint Distribution Committee during their stay in Spain. A special representative of the Committee is now in Barcelona assisting the refugees and looking after their interests.
