Ussishkin Memorial Meeting Held in Havena

An impressive memorial meeting for M.M. Ussishkin was held at Zionist headquarters here under the chairmanship of M. Bliss one of the veteran Zionists in Cuba. Among the speakers were Rabbis Chomsky of Cincinnati and Phineas Horowitz, Vice-President of the English Zionist Federation and former Secretary of the Jewish National Fund for Great Britain and Ireland.

Mr. Horowitz in the course of his address paid tribute to Ussishkin as the man who had been one of the guiding figures in the shaping of Jewish destiny during the past fifty years. On several occasions it had been given to ussishkin to be the deciding factor on vital issues of Jewish policy such as the Uganda question and the Partition issue, the British Zionist leader declared.
