Lord Carlisle, chairman of the United Kingdom Commercial Corporation, winding up the largest trade conference of the war, which met here for a full week, today paid a visit to Jewish industrial enterprises in the vicinity of Jerusalem, paying special attention to a steel mill engaged in filling war orders.

The conference, keyed to the British Empire’s war strategy in the Near and Middle East and Africa, was described today by the delegates as an “unqualified success.” It was attended by representatives from Turkey, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, England, South Africa and other Empire territories. It adjourned yesterday after a luncheon given by the Palestine branch of the United Kingdom Commercial Corporation.
