Jews violating the order which bars them from participating in certain business activities will be sent to concentration camps in the future, it was announced by Xavier Vallat, Vichy’s Commissioner for Jewish Affairs, in an article appearing in the Pariser Zeitung today.

The German paper published in Paris declares that despite strict regulations prohibiting Jews from continuing in businesses that bring them in contact with the public, numerous Jews are carrying on their normal activities. Supplementing yesterday’s decree, announced in Vichy, that Moroccan anti-Jewish laws will be effective on November 30, the Pariser Zeitung announced that Jewish lawyers in Morocco will be restricted to two per cent of the non-Jewish barristers.
