The deportation of the 600 Jews who still remain in Luxemburg started today, according to reliable information received here. Herded in a cattle train the first group of Jews were transported to Poland without being permitted to take along with them more than bare necessities.
Warned of the forthcoming expulsion, some sixty Jews who have visas for overseas countries reached Barcelona today having left Luxemburg several days ago. Another group of 74 Luxemburg Jews are expected to reach the French-Spanish frontier tomorrow with visas which will enable them to eventually secure passage to American countries.
