A far-sweeping purge of Jews from the economic life of Hungary is proceeding at a rapid pace, it was reported today by Radio Rome. Hungarian authorities, the Italian radio stated, are devoting particular attention to the film industry. Several Bucharest Jews have been arrested for producing films.

The broadcast from the Italian capital also disclosed that Jewish refugees fleeing from Nazi-occupied Serbia, formerly a part of Yugoslavia, were arrested while trying to cross the Bulgarian border. The Bulgarian border patrol turned the refugees over to the Serbian officials, the report, which came from Sofia, stated.
