Gershon Hirsch, a Palestine Jew, who was the first Palestinian to hold office in the Oxford Union, when he was elected Secretary last March, was today chosen to head the Union for the coming term, as President. The younger son of Lord Melchet was chosen as Secretary to succeed Hirsch.
