Publication of a new abridged prayer book for Jews in the armed forces of the United States, supplanting one which has been in use since the first World War, was announced today by Dr. David de Sola Pool, chairman of the Committee on Religious Activities of the National Jewish Welfare Board. Fifty thousand copies were printed for the first edition.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
