The mass evacuation of enemy aliens on the West Coast, ordered last week by Attorney General Francis Biddle, will be followed shortly by similar measures on the Atlantic seaboard.

It was stated here today that preliminary plans have been completed for the second step. The Army and Navy have designated a number of strategic East Coast areas as “restricted,” and Japanese, German and Italian enemy aliens living in and near them will be ordered to move. They will also be ordered to leave the capital.
