The New Zionist Organization here today announced that Ambassador William C. Bullitt has vigorously denied the report, broadcast recently by Washington columnists Drew Pearson and Robert Allen, that he has told President Roosevelt that Palestine, Syria and the Suez Canal were in imminent danger of falling into the hands of the Nazis.
In the course of an interview this week with Eri Jabotinsky and A. Kopelowicz, representing the NZO presidency, Ambassador Bullitt is reported to have emphasized that he had not communicated with Messrs. Allen and Pearson nor had they any opportunity to learn the contents of his report to the President. Mr. Bullitt further stated, according to the NZO representatives, that he did not think that the Near East was in any immediate danger.
