The promise that they will be permitted to loot Jewish property in Soviet territory is now being made to Rumanian peasants who have expressed their dissatisfaction over the fact that they are being forced into the army to fight the Nazi war on Soviet soil, it is reported in diplomatic circles here today, on the basis of information from Bucharest.
Special propagandists have been assigned by the Nazi command to the Rumanian military units for the purpose of stimulating their interest in the spring offensive for which Rumanian troops are now being trained under German officers. The duties of these propagandists include the spreading of violent anti-Jewish agitation among the Rumanian soldiers and promises that they will be free to take what they choose from the homes of the Jews in any territory they succeed in invading.
