German-Jewish aliens in-the United States today voiced their opposition to a proposed plan of organizing special national fighting units within the American Army when the American Federation of Jews from Central Europe adopted a resolution urging that German Jewish aliens be permitted to serve as American soldiers within the ranks of the American army.

The resolution declared that Jews who emigrated from Germany have come here to find “a new homeland” and to become citizens of the United States. “As American citizens of tomorrow,” it stated, “we desire to become American soldiers of today.” Rudolf Callmann is president of the Federation and Max M. Warburg is chairman of the Board of Directors.
