Immigration Authorities Release 26 Luxemburg Refugees in Hias Care

The Federal immigration authorities released a group of 26 Jewish refugees from Luxemburg in the care of the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society, it was announced here today by the Hias. The refugees, who arrived here on a Portuguese steamer, were among the last Jews in Luxemburg permitted to proceed to Spain by the Nazi authorities. Some 900 Jews who had no opportunity to leave for Spain were deported from Luxemburg to Poland for forced labor.
