Large-scale deportation of Jews from Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt-am-Main has been resumed during the past few days, according to reports reaching here today. The Jews are being jammed into cattle trains and carried to the ghettos in Warsaw, Vilna and Riga, the report states.
It was also reported here today that a new decree issued in Berlin forbids any Jews living in Germany to keep domestic pets such as dogs, cats or canaries.
The Goniec Krakowsky, a Polish newspaper published in Cracow, which reached here today, reports that the reduction of bread rations for Jews to two ounces daily has increased starvation in the ghettos. “Jews are now selling their last shirt for a piece of bread,” the paper writes.
