Mass-meetings dedicated to Soviet Russia will be held throughout Palestine on June 22, the first anniversary of the Nazi attack on the U.S.S.R., according to a decision adopted here today by the Histadruth, the Jewish Labor Federation of Palestine.

The decision was made after consultation with the political department of the Jewish Agency for Palestine. Collection of funds for Russia’s war effort will be conducted on June 22 throughout the country as an expression of the Yishuv’s interest in a Russian victory over the Nazis.

Twenty-nine national emblems, including the Blue-White Zionist emblem, were honored in Jerusalem as throughout Palestine the population observed United Nations Day. Special services here were attended by officials of the Palestine administration, the consular corps and the military authorities, including representatives of United Nations units stationed in Palestine.
