200 Jews Executed by Nazis in Baranowicze; 2,000 Reported Dead in Camps

Nearly 200 Jews perished in mass-executions carried out by the Gestapo in the city of Baranowicze, Eastern Poland, according to a report reaching here today.

The report states that 2,000 Jews have been sent from Baranowicze to Nazi concentration camps since the city came under Nazi rule less than a year ago. Most of them have since died. At present there are only 8,000 Jews left in Baranowicze, a majority of whom are women, children and aged, the report says.
