Serious efforts are being made in Washington by Jewish Agency leaders to secure friendly intervention by the American Government with Britain so that the Jews of Palestine will be granted the right to fully participate in the defense of the country, it was reported here today at the session of the Small Zionist Actions Committee.

The session, which was called in connection with the present war situation in the Middle East, adopted a resolution demanding that the governments in London and Jerusalem arm and train all able-bodied Jews in Palestine. The resolution expresses the conviction that Palestine Jewry, when properly armed, could be a considerable power in the battle of the Middle East. It regrets that the use of this power is repeatedly refused by the British Government.

In another resolution, the Small Actions Committee calls upon all sections of the Jews in Palestine for increased enlistment, for intensive financial mobilization, for preparation for a possible battle and for adjustment to a new mode of life.
