Nazi mass-murders of Jews in occupied Eastern European territories were discussed at a conference between United States Ambassador John G. Winant and Prof. Selig Brodetsky, chairman of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, it was disclosed today by Brodetsky, reporting to an executive meeting of the Board. He also reported to the executive concerning his meeting with Prof. Slobodan Yavonovich, the Yugoslavian Premier, at which the Nazi atrocities in Yugoslavia were discussed.

The Board has decided on a course of action in regard to attempts-to alleviate the condition of the Jews in Poland, Brodetsky stated. The position of Polish Jewry was considered in the light of the recently-revealed mass-slaughters of Jews and, on the basis of reports submitted to the Board by Polish-Jewish organizations, he added.

It was announced that the Joint Foreign Committee will hold a special meeting together with the executive boards of its two parent bodies, the Board of Deputies and the Anglo-Jewish Association, and the Palestine Committee of the Board, on August 3-4 to discuss post-war problems.

Dr. Ignacy Schwartsbart, one of the two Jewish deputies in the Polish National Council, will broadcast to the United States early this week on the Nazi atrocities against the Jews in Poland, it was announced today by the British Broadcasting Company.
