Confirmation of the report that the Nazis have arrested more than 20,000 Jews in Paris during the last weak, was given today on the German-controlled European radio stations.

Most of the Nazi stations today broadcast a report that about 28,000 Jews had been seized in Paris because “they refused to wear Mogen David badges or committed other offensive acts.”

The broadcasts are interpreted here as being motivated by the Nazis’ desire to allay the indignation which has been aroused by the reports that thousands of Jews had been arrested without cause for deportation to Eastern Europe.
