It is the general opinion among Jews in the Czech Protectorate that the Nazis are using Jewish prisoners at the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria as guinea pigs in experiments on poison gas, it was stated by a Jewish refugee who arrived here from Prague on board the Drottningholm recently.

The refugee declared that three brothers of a friend of his wife, who were arrested by the Gestapo merely because they happened to be present when the Germans came to their home seeking a lodger, were sent to Mauthausen. Although they were all healthy when shipped to the camp, within four weeks word was received that they had all died. “And we have heard of other such cases,” he emphasized.
