Chief Rabbi Hertz of Great Britain today associated British Jewry with the Union of Orthodox Rabbis in America which has proclaimed August 12 a fast day and “day of supplication in behalf of our brethren who are in danger of extermination at the hands of an inhuman enemy as well as a day of prayer for speedy victory and a righteous peace.”

On August 23 the Chief Rabbi will preside at a mass-meeting to protest Nazi atrocities which will be held in one of the largest meeting places in the West End. Demonstrations similar to those held in America and Palestine will take place throughout the country.
