Expansion of B’nai B’rith’s war-time cooperation with the American Red Cross to include assistance in furnishing hospitality and recreational facilities to Expeditionary Forces through the Overseas Service Clubs of the Red Cross was announced today by Henry Monsky, president of B’nai B’rith.

Among the B’nai B’rith units whose cooperation will be made available to the Red Cross overseas field workers are those in London, Leeds, Hull, Manchester, Nottingham and Sunderland, all in England; Glasgow, Scotland; and Cairo and Alexandria. Egypt. The lodges in Egypt and those in London have been cooperating for several months in furnishing hospitality and recreational facilities to United Nations soldiers, sailors and airmen.

This new field of B’nai B’rith war service is an extension of its arrangement with the Red Cross through which B’nai B’rith’s lodges and auxiliaries in the United States are collaborating with the Red Cross Camp and Hospital Service Councils to meet the welfare and recreational needs of both hospitalized and able-bodied service men in army camps.
