Berlin newspapers reaching here today feature conspicuously the warning voiced by Hermann Goering yesterday when he told the German people that they will be “annihilated by the Jews” should Germany lose the war.
Speaking with so much passion and hatred that it was difficult to understand him over the radio, Goering is quoted in the Nazi press as having said the following in his Sport Palace address; “There is something which the people must know. I tell you this because I want you to write it deep into your brain and burn it deep into your soul: What would be the lot of the German people if we lost this struggle? You have read what would happen to our children, what would happen to us men. And our womenfolk would become the spoil of the Jews.
“People of Germany, you must know if this war should be lost, you will be annihilated. The Jew is standing behind this war of extermination. If the German people lose this struggle, its next ruler will be the Jew. What ‘Jew’ means, I suppose you know; and he who does not know Jewish revenge may read about it. This war is the war of races. It is the decision as to whether the German, the Aryan races, or the Jews shall rule the world. That is what we are fighting for. That is what in the final analysis must be decided.
“We know the Jews. Don’t let Churchill and Roosevelt deceive you. They themselves are just ridiculous marionettes in the hands of the Jews. Behind them is standing the Jew. And let none deceive himself that he can escape. It will be of no avail to say: I have always been a good democrat. I myself suffered from the wicked Nazis. I acted only under duress. No, no. Whether someone who had been the greatest admirer of the Jews, or whether he was the greatest Jew-baiter, he will be treated not a bit better.”
