Nikolas von Kallay, Hungarian Premier yesterday told the Hungarian Parliament that “the destructive influence of the Jews must be combatted and therefore the fight against the Jews must continue mercilessly.”

Announcing that in addition to sending all able-bodied Hungarian Jews to forced labor in Nazi-held territories, a higher tax will be imposed upon the Jewish population in the country, the Hungarian premier added that the removal of Jews from key positions in the economic life of Hungary will be conducted “more thoroughly.” He also predicted that the Jews of Hungary will never get back the land confiscated from them no matter what the outcome of the war will be.
