The Grand Mufti of Oran, one of the principal cities of Algeria, joined the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem in the ranks of the anti-Jewish propagandists with an address he delivered to a group of Moslems leaving with the Vichy French Tri-Color Legion to fight on the Russian front.
The Mufti, according to the Nazi radios which rebroadcast his address today in Arabic and other languages, told the departing Moslem soldiers that “as good Mohammedans” they should fight against Russia, Britain and the Jews.
