The “Lamed Literary Fund” which annually awards two prizes for the best literary works in Hebrew and another two for the best works in Yiddish, today announced the 1942 winners. The two first prizes of $200 each were awarded to Menachem Boreisha for his 500-page epic poem “The Wanderer” in Yiddish and to Dr. N. Turov for his Hebrew book “Communal Psychology. “The second prizes of $150 each were awarded to the Yiddish writer, Daniel Charney for his memoirs “These Ten Years” and to the Hebrew poet Gabriel Preil for his collection of poems.
