Slovakian Jews in America Barred from Membership in League of Slovak Clubs

The Slovakian press here carries a report disclosing that a decision to bar Jews from membership in a League of Slovak Clubs in New York was adopted at a meeting of representatives of thirteen Slovak organizations held in St. Nepomuk Hall here, under the chairmanship of Msgr. Stephen Krasula.

After deciding to found the League of Slovak Clubs, the gathering is reported to have passed a resolution stating that “any Slovak organization may become a member of the League, regardless of political, religious or other affiliations, but non-Christian groups are not to be admitted.”
