Every Jewish enlisted man in the largest U.S. Army unit in Britain today voluntarily inscribed his name in the routine duties roster so as to relieve men of Christian faith originally scheduled to do duty on Christmas and New Year’s Days and on Christmas and New Year’s Eves.
American Army headquarters here, commenting upon the action of the Jewish soldiers, characterized it as “a practical expression of good will.”
