An appeal to German Americans throughout the United States to unite in a call to the German people to denounce the Hitler crimes against Jews and other civilian populations was made last night by Dr. George N. Shuster, president of Hunter College, in a radio address over the facilities of the Columbia Broadcasting System.

Dr. Shuster is the chairman of the board of The Loyal Americans of German Descent. He pointed out that such action by the German-American community of the United States is of the utmost importance both as an affirmation of “complete, unswerving, uncompromising detestation of Hitler” and as an assurance to the people of Germany that “their struggle for decency will not be in vain.”
