An honor roll bearing the names of the 1,150 Jewish men and women from Milwaukee known to be serving in the armed forces was dedicated here last night at Temple Emanu-El-B’ne Jeshurun. The ceremonies were in honor of the service men and women drawn from the Jewish community of about 25,000, according to the Milwaukee army and navy committee of the Jewish Welfare Board, sponsor of the event. The honor roll included the names of the 20 Jewish women who are serving in the auxiliary forces of the nation. It is believed that possibly 100 more Jewish men from Milwaukee are in the armed forces but their names have not been obtained.

The speakers at the dedication were Col. C.J. Otjen, district commander of internal security; acting Mayor John L. Bohn; Edward H. Meldman, chairman of the army and navy committee of the JWB; Sol.J. Kahn, a member of the committee; Charles Aaron of Chicago, representing the National Jewish Welfare Board; George C, Goetz of the Milwaukee USO and others.
