Ten Finnish parliamentarians are reported today to have addressed a joint memorandum to the speaker of the Finnish parliament asking him to make a public statement with regard to the number of Jews in Finland and the official government policy regarding them.

The signatories state in their memorandum that they are informed that “the government intends to conform with the desires of foreign circles” and is ready to relax the anti-Jewish regulations as well as to discontinue the internment of Jews. “We wish to inquire as to the reasons which compel the government to abandon its previous attitude which was dictated by the interests of our country,” the memorandum is quoted as asking.
