Expressing his support of the Jewish National Home, J. H. Hofmeyer, Minister of Finance, today officially launched the Land for Victory campaign proclaimed by the Jewish National Fund in south Africa.
Mr. Hofmeyer lauded the role of Palestine “as a bastion for the use of the Allied Nations” and emphasized that Palestine must be given to the Jews as a National Home since Jewish homelessness is “one of the distinguished causes of anti-Semitism.” Zionism is not merely a Jewish cause, but also a human cause, he said.
