American Jews contributed sixty percent of the record total of $2,626,000 received by the Jewish National Fund headquarters in the nine-month period from last September to May of this year, it was announced here today. In the similar period of 1941-42, $1,583,936 was collected.
The JNF announcement also disclosed that the funds received in May marked a new high in monthly totals in the history of the organization. More than $550,000 was contributed.
